Genelec speaker standby issue

I just recently got 2x 8351B monitors. They are connected using AES/EBU via a 7360A sub. The ISS/standby delay is set to 2min / sensitivity is on high for all devices and the settings are stored to the loudspeaker via GLM.

However one of the 8351B is not staying in ISS standby/sleep mode. While my subwoofer 7360A and one of the 8351B go into standby just fine and remain asleep there, the other 8351B goes into standby for about 3-5 sec and then turns back on. After this, every 2mins, it just loops going into standby/sleep and subsequently turning back on in a few seconds later.

Video of the issue

During this video, nothing other than the power cable was attached, so the speaker was not getting any signal. It repeats this every 2 min. I got this speaker replaced just in case it had a bad circuit or something but the replacement speaker behaves exactly the same.

What does work is if ISS sensitivity is set to low. Even medium does not work.

Anyone come across this issue?

Hey OP, have you ever found the solution to this issue? I'm strangely having the exact same issue as you are with my 8351Bs (ISS loop with nothing plugged in, only works on low sensitivity but not on others, etc)

Didn't get to any resolution. Genelec support couldn't help either, they even contacted the factory. Just have to keep sensitivity to low.

Are both speakers connected to the same wall plug?
If not,, and since the replacement speaker behaves the same, it might be something with the power at that spot.
Maybe try swapping the two speakers and see if the issue stays in the same place or follows the speaker.

Are you on digital also?

Agreed.
The only thing connected is power, so it's really the only potential cause here.
Try putting it, even if only temporarily, on the same plug as the sub and other monitor that does work.
It could be that something on that circuit (or wiring, or plug or whatever) is causing interference that the genelec power supply isn't rejecting, and which is making it into the audio circuitry.

Yea support also asked me to check power. I connected the speaker in question to a totally different circuit breaker of the house. Same issue. The issue also follows the speaker when I switch left and right. And yea this is digital signal but analog behaves the same.

Yes I was, although I was originally on analog and encountered the same issue. I just made the switch back to analog since I had everything originally set up that way and have decided to leave the ISS sensitivity set to "low" and leave it at that as this seems to keep the speakers in ISS for both digital and analog.

Theoretically, whatever issue is present on the previous circuit could be present on that second one.
But, the chances of that are really not high. I don't know much about Genelec's stuff, but it sounds like a design or software defect with the sensitivity at this point.
If there's a sensitivity setting I'd probably just try and set it to a lower setting, as the above post mentions.

I would recommend you should contact Genelec support regardless. So that they know it is potentially an issue and not isolated case. Very likely imo is that they upgraded or swapped some parts and the software/firmware needs some tuning. More reports = higher chance they will do something about it.
