I have tried doing some research on this setup, but havent found anything conclusive. While on paper there should be no issues since the BTR7 can deliver 320+320mW through the 4.4mm jack for a 32Ohms Headphones. Ive still seen people say that this isn't enough. The sens on the Sundaras is 92dB, which is defineitly not very low.

The BTR7 also has a boost mode for harder to drive headphones, so I wanted to understand where the people saying this isnt an ideal setup are coming from.

Also I do understand that any headphone would benefit from a high end DAC/AMP setup but I dont know at what point does the diminishing returns start.

(Or should ditch the BTR7 and just get an adam stack?)

Welcome to ASR. :)

Amir has measured this Fiio;
Plus the Sundara;
Ive still seen people say that this isn't enough.
On what basis?

Seems to have enough power for those cans, 94 dB/mW.

I'm running BTR7 4.4mm + Sundara, no problems at all, no clipping, no anything negative, can adjust EQ so nicely in AIMP3 player, add warmth, bass, doesn't distort (listened to melodic death metal, vibrant and pulsating, all instruments easy to distinguish, voice not drowned out)

I'm using this setup often, with a Windows computer running Qobuz in exclusive mode as source, and the BTR7 as DAC/amp. Sometimes with Sundara, sometimes with Arya. It works just fine for me.
