I have a Samsung Galaxy S24+ (Android 14) and two DACs (MEIZU Hifi Pro and MOONDROP Dawn Pro) and I just picked up the Hifiman Sundara headphones.
I can play local files with USB Audio Player Pro and it works fine with the phone-DAC-headphone setup. However, if I want to stream files over my network with Plexamp or stream from Spotify, the headphones do not work.
I tried a variety of setting adjustments but nothing worked.
I found a utility on the Google Play Store ("Disable Hadphone, HDST Toggle") that worked by letting you manually select the headphones rather than the speaker. But the audio was very quiet even at full volume and, after a little more fiddling, it stopped working.
I've done some digging and I'm wondering if a USB-C OTG adapter might cure what ails me or is there a more straightforward way to play audio from all sources from my phone to the headphones?
Thank you for any help!
