LOL I didn't notice the lack of a badge or the tweeter plate difference.

I did see, however, a wad of gum stuck underneath the speaker.:eek:

these are contour 1.3 from 1997.
I pulled the badges and kept them.

that’s not bubble gum, that’s a scar. At 12:35 pm, July 10, 2010; I was removing the speaker from the stand after 6 years in position. I use 4 small pieces of blue tack between the speaker and the stand. I was impatient and pulled the speaker off resulting in this delamination. It physically hurt to see this.

notice the color difference from 23 years, bottom vs top.

Dynaudio was as careful to match grain from side to side at that time as well. The craftsmanship is excellent and I expect no difference today with the Heritage Specials.

Oh that suuuuuucks....

Luckily the Heritage Special has an adapter plate, presumably with bolt holes like the Contour 20, so no more need for Blu Tack. ;)
