Digital Converter (DDC) interface with volume control?

Was checking if this exists at an affordable price point. So far I found the Lake People DAT RS 05, but it's pretty pricy

For a moment I thought I found the perfect value contender in this Fiio, but the volume control is disabled when used over USB...

Would anyone happen to know if something cheaper than the DAT RS 05 exists? I'd love an easy s/pdif output with volume control should it exist.

Some time ago i was searching for something similar and came to the observation the Lake People being the only one available if you need volume control.
