As @Blumlein 88 said on his message, your case is the first approach and so you need a crossover for each output (two crossovers in the case of a stereo setup). I still don't get your goal but I can tell you that the old speakers of the system you have linked have their crosovers build in their cabinets (like in every passive loudspeaker).
