Thank you @GD Fan for the thread (and the nice photos).
In the 1970s, the NYC-metro Rock-n-Roll concert venues were not friendly places for toting in big hunkin' 35mm SLRs. That is, if your camera did not get ripped-off, en route!
I lost my dad's minox 'spy-camera' in a Ramones concert and slave-labor was my punishment for the whole summer that year.
One venue wanted to confiscate my Canon A1, so I decided to go vigilante:

/\ This was the 110 format SLR w/interchangeable lenses (+flash, +winder) from Asahi Pentax. I used up two of these auto110 bodies before stepping up to the Super version few years later. When we went to concerts, I'd stash the auto110, the lenses, and the flash in my pockets, Never had confrontations at the venue entrances again.:)

A couple recent Anders Osborne shows:

And May 29 here in NYC

I had the good fortune of catching Glen Hansard twice last year - in Michigan on the Swell Season tour and Paris in the fall.

I still have all the accessories (& the aluminum case) but someone stole my body.

We went to the OCFair (PacificAmphitheater) to see/hear the [new] EnglishBeat with primo seating.
Concert had good vibes and most of it was like a sing-along, as the older crowd knew all the EnglishBeat' hits.
Tomorrow, we will be going to see/hear StrayCats [BrianSetzer], in the same venue and with even more primo seating. :)
But you know what I did NOT do for the EnglishBeat concert?
I did not bring any electronics with me! Neither a phone or a camera!

It was very liberating and I aim to repeat it for the StrayCats concert.
Sorry!

I failed in my original aim:

*BrianSetzer has cancelled previous concerts due to tinnitus and this may be their last tour.
*That dude SlimJim never sits down.

*Local LeeRocker's son also plays an upright double-bass (for opening Moonshine).
