Does this count?
Very existential question... If a knob is floating in space by itself, is it centered?Does this count?
Those are not in the center, or my eyes need fixing .I had a couple of Onkyo integrateds in the early 2000s. Both had centered volume knobs. The A-809 actually sounded a lot better to my tin ears than the much more expensive A9911. View attachment 202944
I went through the thread and IIRC not all of them were in the *exact* center, but yeah you're right - at least for the A9911; the knob on the A809 looks pretty darn close to center, but then again I'm not exactly going to spend any time measuring it. LOLThose are not in the center, or my eyes need fixing .
The front really reminds me of the Denon 2XXX lineup of amp when it comes to proportions and knob size to total front areaTopping LA90
Maybe not in three dimensional space...Those are not in the center, or my eyes need fixing .
You're suggesting that traveling faster than light is an alternative to getting my eyes fixed?Maybe not in three dimensional space...
Transiently, yes, deterioration (in the '80s) in the service of a "tech" look (tech of the time)...This thread illustrates how build quality [and styling] deteriorated after the 1970s. And why the better [Japanese] 70s amps get such high prices on Ebay. Some exceptions like Yamaha AX, though...although the volume knobs not as nice as Sansui AU.
