Okay, so this time we tested phone vs cd. Pioneer cd player was connected to cambridge audio azur 851N dac/dap With coaxial digital cable. Oneplus 8 android phone was connected via usb cable to same azur 851N. Tidal hifi was playing inside Usb audio player pro app. This app is able to deliver higher samplerates thru usb so we saw 96khz etc in azurs panel. So.....after listening couple of songs it was clear that cd was better, better separation , layering etc.......even though some files in tidal were 24bit 96 khz and so on.........what the heck....can someone suggest why is this so. Thanks.
