Can you hear -0.1db or +0.1 db at 500Hz?

I made a clip using a loop music. First loop original. 2nd loop +0.1, 500Hz, Q2, shelf eq. 3rd loop -0.1, 500Hz, Q2, shelf eq.
Not gonna make poll. Any different is really up to you. How much are you truth to yourself. You can cut and do a null test to be sure, it is digitally done correctly.

Your title and description has already tainted your experiment.
I have done it with alternation of square wave in the middle of some discussion. No problem for me.

I get nowhere on .2. I get 7/10 with .5 and 10/10 with 1db listening via my phone speakers.

sure i can hear a wobble tone effect sort of going up and down if it fast enough , slow not so much

Very close to mastering engineering who need to make decision down to 0.1 db difference. Of course, mix engineering does need too for creativity.

You may need to listen down to 0.1 or manual EQ instead relying on DRC.
