Absolutely agree but if you ever think that game is fair, you don't know enough. (you does not mean "you personally", that is a proverbial you. I have no clue if you do or don't)
But what you describe is gambling and not a profession. If you are going to gamble at least increase your odds and go to the casino's cause when you lose, you could be comped a show and dinner. In gamestop you get a class action lawsuit.

Is Poker gambling? they say it is; but in reality you play the odds. it's all about probabilities; it is not much different in the financial market.

Semantics. Call it what you want. For those without knowledge of gaming theory and how to increase their odds to beat the house (or market), its gambling since their only chance of winning is pure luck.
