BASS!

Totally forgot about my favorite movie bass tester...

Edge of Tomorrow -- Opening Sequence
Between 20-40 sec into opening....
Has 5 notes...30hz, 25hz, 20hz, 15hz, 10hz
Wow, nice find! This really gets the bones rumbling.

Most of SHM will be bass heavy

Well, you're right about that:

Funky pattern with lines every 2.5Hz or so. Looks like aliasing, but doesn't all house/techno? :P

The whole album is quite bass-heavy and very good. One of my all time favorites and I'm not even a fan of the genre.
There are lots of really bass-heavy tracks posted (thank you all), but not so many that one can really use as test tracks: i.e. stuff that sounds very good/enjoyable so you can easily play it 1000x over many years

Someone mentioned Blade Runner 2049 and measured a few songs. I think the song 2049 not yet measured. Here is my measurements for left channel of the song "2049":

Is there any program that can scan an Apple Lossless music collection and find the tracks with low bass?

Curious, anyone of you able to take advantage of below 10hz signals in your own setup? If so, what do you have?

Handy hint: When examining bass with Audacity's spectrogram functions, set the window size to the maximum supported. (32768 or 65536.)

Oh, I forgot about the window size. Thx!

Here is second half of the "2049" song at 65536. I wonder how accurate are tones below 20 Hz ....

Perhaps The Chain by Fleetwood mac?
Bass from the ~3 minute mark plays at 41Hz which is the lowest a normally tuned bass guitar plays (E string played open).

Can someone post a spectral of this track?
And/or track6.Rollin on Chrome from the whole album link (~37:25)

(set dynamic range to 96dB, since the input is 16-bit):

My original suggestion of 60dB scale was for the graph being clearly readable and not showing inaudible noise. Input bits have nothing to do with it. :)

I went from the default 120dB scale (no argument given to SoX) to 96dB and did not see your suggestion.
To me it felt weird using a scale broader than what's possible in the material you're analysing.

I see your reasoning and perhaps reducing the scale (increasing the 'contrast') even more is indeed a good idea.
