Has anyone had any experience with Fostex DIY speaker kits? I was looking at the following:

https://www.fostex.com.au/apps/bundles/bundle/58889 the back loaded horn enclosure looks interesting. or
https://www.fostex.com.au/apps/bundles/bundle/87563

Are the kits even worth considering, or would i get better quality just buying retail speakers.
Thanks, any help would be great

I also found some graphs regarding the speakers: https://cdn.accentuate.io/528410470...x_Speaker_Components_Catalog_Oct.2019.pdf?v=0

I had one of the bass-reflex Kanspea kits with matching Fostex AP05 power amplifier. Power amp was tiny and cute, speakers were a fun and easy one-afternoon build, though sonics were nothing special, and frequency response wasn't particularly smooth: No real bass, peaky mids. It might have been fun to take the drivers and build larger back-loaded horns around them but ultimately I found someone who wanted my exact setup, so I sold the set.
