ANYONE WILLING TO SHARE EXPERIENCES WITH DASH CAMS?

I'm buying a dash cam and don't know which is trustworthy. There certainly are finicky software glitches in these thing and Im sitting on the fence on taking it back, with just a few days left.
Any advice on reliable quality products deeply appreciated.

I haven't got one, but when I drive into the nearest city sometimes I think it might be a good thing....

Viofo for best bang-for buck.
BlackVue for best features, but at a cost.

I've been perfectly happy with the various Navman units I've had over the years. Picture quality is fine, sound is decent and their software was great. You can't do Google maps playback anymore on the PC, but besides that, awesome.

edit: just checked and there's a software update that restores the google maps tracking on the Mivue app. Pretty amazing for camera that are now ~8years old.
