That's the only season we have here... well there's a couple weeks in February where we hit "Actual Spring" maybe.
...and stick season. (For the non-VTers: Stick season is between fall and winter, when the leaves are gone from the trees but there is no snow on the ground yet. The sky is generally gray and it is quite bleak looking.)Our son -- who lives in Virginia, sent me this earlier today.

that's one I haven't heard -- and we're right across the river in the Upper Valley
...where we're all too familiar with mud season.
