This is "MENTON" by the Mediterranean Sea, the last town in France before the Italian boarder... December 29, 2020.

Inside an 800+ years old house located in a village called "BOUDES" - Puy-de-Domes County - France. I asked the owner to let me go inside and she said YES !!!
What you see is the entrance door. The length between the door and the ceramic light switch is 1.07m / 1.09yd and this is the thickness of the wall. Long time ago the walls were that thick because winters were cold.

I am not able to answer your question, it may or may not have existed for centuries. There are five fireplaces in this house. 1 in each of the three bedrooms, 1 in the living room and the 1 we see on my photo.
And there are 2 bathrooms with a shower and a sink, their walls are painted with a special product that looks old.
The kitchen is very simple and located at the end of the room were there is an old stove still working (built probably 50/60 years ago).

You know what ? I fell in love with this house, my wife too... if the walls could talk...

all pictures were made with a simple Canon S95 (sorry I wrote Canon G7 X Mark II)
