In understand why Erin wants nothing more to do with the brand. A shame because I think it would be very interesting to see more measurements of these products from him and by remaining professional in the process he would only enhance his audiences’ high opinion of him. I would like to see more Tekton speaker reviews on ASR. Maybe there will be some owners who are so disgruntled with EA’s behaviour that they will send theirs to Amir for analysis. Not exactly sure that Eric won with all of the bad publicity coming his way. But who knows. Will just have to wait and see...
What?! Only if they intend to cross at a zebra or pelican crossing and even then only if the pedestrian has at least one foot on the road. Not in the uk, cars have to yield if pedestrians are crossing /waiting on the pavement to cross
An “abnormally high” number of reviews could be construed as malicious intent—especially if the reviews are somewhat “negative”.I would like to see more Tekton speaker reviews on ASR. I fear that, in the long term, you are correct. An “abnormally high” number of reviews could be construed as malicious intent—especially if the reviews are somewhat “negative”.
Amir may be confident enough to proceed, but why would any “less structured, individual” reviewer would even peek at a Tekton speaker? Being able to read the brand name would be the closest I would get…
And who would even care about these Tekton reviews?
To me, that’s why Tekton won…

Why -- because their "right approach" makes them relatively immune from abusive litigation threats? Is it safe to say that Steve Guttenberg and Herb Reichert have the right approach to hifi reviews?
Enjoyable (to some), subjective nonsense? Is it safe to say that Steve Guttenberg and Herb Reichert have the right approach to hifi reviews?
Like the old DJ days, the thought of payola comes to mind. Why -- because their "right approach" makes them relatively immune from abusive litigation threats?
Yeah, Steve's a cordial, pleasant fellow. Are his reviews insightful and useful? Not especially IMO -- but YMMV.Enjoyable (to some), subjective nonsense?
I quite like Steve though. He’s passionate and engaging.
You’re correct: Tekton will only get solicited (paid / controlled) reviews from now on… Isn’t this what EA wanted? To me that will depend if they ever pop up in a place like Stereophile again. That brand is toxic now. The guy is unhinged and reviewers will now think long and hard about associating with him.
I agree.Yeah, Steve's a cordial, pleasant fellow. Are his reviews insightful and useful? Not especially IMO -- but YMMV.
Was one guy on another forum going off about how he would like to set up a legal fund for Eric Alexander. That didn't go over too well. People figured he was either a plant or a troll...
