Hello everyone! My first post here :)
I'm just trying to know If any Yamaha A-S 2200 owners (or any other amp from that series) encountered this issue:
Occasionally the sould will get cut for a split second or so when I rise or lower the volume, it will also make a relay click together with that soundgap (please note, it's not when dialing treble or bass, I always keep them at neutral position/"source direct" so to say, its when i use the volume dial.
I've made an help request to Yamaha website, but since they might take a long time to answer (hoping they will do eventually) I decided to check if anyone could chip in.
Thanks in advance.

Not A-S2200, but I have been always and rather intensively using A-S3000 and A-S301 (latest setup can be found here). Just for your reference, and fortunately, I have never experienced such an issue with my A-S3000 as well as A-S301.

I would like to suggest you posting your inquiry on this thread entitled "Inside Yamaha amps" where many of YAMAHA amp users within ASR are participating.
(My post #34 on A-S3000, and #40 on A-S301, on that thread.)

Thank you so much, Dualazmak! And WOW! I'm mindblown by your setup, actually more than a setup, its a real hifi installation! Yes, I will post it there right away!

I have a sort of similar random problem with my A-S2000 that affects the function button: I hear a click and I see the function LEDs change in sequence. When this happens and I'm listening to some music (e g. a CD), the sounds cuts off. If I move the button back to CD, the sound resumes. I suspect it's a problem with the rotary encoder.

That seems like a purely electronic issue, I guess. Mine seemd to have to due with overeating, apparently there's some sensor that shuts off sound when the amp gets too warm.
