Hi Guys,

Hopefully, you can help me here.
I have just bought a couple of Hifiman Sundara.

I am looking forward to receive them :)

I prefer using my TV as a music/movie streamer.
How is the best way to make the setup?

My TV does not have Qubuz or Amazon Music built in.

Looking forward receiving your inputs.

Best regards,
OleS

Maybe the Xiaomi Mi Box S?
Then I can stream all my music and movies from my PC or Android phone (but only CD-quality 48KHz)

Is that correct?

Thank you.

Id get the Chromecast with Google TV (up to you if you want the 4k or full HD and cheaper version)

There is an amazon music app for it (you would have to chromecast Qobuz from your phone as no native app).

But I would have to ask why use the TV at all? Why not get a Wiim mini streamer and control from your phone screen with the Wiim plugged into the optical of your dac? Brilliant Amazon music integration through Alexa- decent for Qobuz too.

Have you tried to add a Qobuz and/or Amazon Music app to your TV? To my knowledge many Smart TVs have an app search and download function. My Sony did and my new LG does.

My Sony do not have Qobuz installed. And cannot be found on Google play :-(

I considering this setup:

1) Connection between Apple Tv 4K to my Sony Tv.

2) Connection between Qudelix 5K to the Apple Tv.

3) Connection between Qudelix 5K and my HiFiMan Sundara.

Could that work?
Or do you have better recommendations for better setups?

Looking forward hearing from you, guys.

Thanks

Option 2 - using Amazon Fire as streamer

1) connect my qudelix 5k to my Amazon fire tablet

2) connect my Sundara to qudelix 5k

Your Qudelix is a USB DAC.

Have you tried to connect it to your TV through one of its USB ports?

Although it doesn’t seem to be officially supported, it might work, and take you one step closer to what you seek.

Hi,

Thank you for replying.
I guess it would not make sense to connect a transportable dac/AMP to the TV? :)

Further more, it won't work, since my TV have not Qobuz and Amazone built-in.
That is why have to find another way of streaming these streaming services.

I don't see the problem?

Check out your own suggestion here. Step 2 won't work because there's no USB on an Apple TV. However, if you'd replace 'Apple TV' with 'Sony TV' in that very step, you might be there.

I'm confused. Why do you want to use your TV as a streamer when it doesn't have the apps you want to stream from or the connections you want out of it?

Seems like you want the signal into your qudelix? Not your topping stack? Sounds like more of a job for a phone /tablet than a TV to me, The fire tablet wired usb to the Qudelix will be fine. Don't think the Bluetooth on the fire tablet will do Ldac for high quality BT but I might be wrong.

Sorry, I do not know what you mean.
My Sony TV cannot be used as streamer, since it have not Qubuz or Amazon Music built-in.

Therefore, my Sony TV cannot be used as streamer. Unfortunately.

IF my Sony TV had Qubuz or Amazon Music built-in, what could be the solution.

Because of the big screen.
I think it a nice/cool to have a big screen, when I am streaming.

But maybe I should go with the tablet-solution.

See my post about Google TV dongle. But it doesnt have a qobuz app. Plus getting the digital signal out of a TV is messier.

I need the Qobuz app, so Google TV dongle is not an option :-(

There might be a streamer device which contains qobuz and Amazon music app :-S a device that suits my qudelix 5k

If you get a Fiio Bta30pro, you can use your TV's optical out to transmit LDAC Bluetooth to your Qudelix 5k. The audio source is up to you.

Very useful input.
Thanks.

Edit: This won't work, since my TV do not have Qubuz or Amazon Music built-in. :-(
Therefore, I must find another streaming device - phone, computer og tablet.

No, I have not the Apple TV 4K.
That was just an option how to setup.

Apple TV 4K + BTA30PRO?
It sounds like an expensive choice.

Another possible setup could be:
Wiim Pro --> TV --> BTA30Pro
I am not sure that this setup is cheaper.
