Hello, I just got the Topping DX9 and have an issue. I only use USB input connect to my PC, but every time I turn this DAC on, it switches to other input automatically, it's so annoying. How can I save my input to USB so I don't have to switch the input manually every time I turn the DAC on?

Hi @sanhnguyen97s! Welcome to ASR.

I don't own a DX9, so don't know if this will help:

Try to open the Setup menu (remote or front panel button), go to Input, set it to OPT1, then close the Setup menu.

Open the Setup menu again, go to Input, set it to USB, then close the Setup menu.

Then turn the DX9 off and back on again and check whether it now defaults to the USB input.

If that doesn't help, you could try factory resetting the DX9.
It's option 13 in the Setup menu.

Also, make sure you're using the latest firmware version: https://www.toppingaudio.com/download/dx9-version-v1-18-firmware-update

By any chance are you turning the dac on before the pc goes live?

it doesn't work :(. I already tried factory reset

Not sure if you got this resolved, in the first few hours I had a few issues, including the one mentioned.
After installing a battery and cycling everything with the remote weirdness stopped.
I tried to duplicate your issue without success. I only use the remote to cycle power yet the rear switch causes no problems.

I was on the previous v1.18 and noticed something like that. The new one v1.20 should have addressed this. Anyway, go into setup and select on/off trigger and change it for signal (unless you're using those 12v triggering cables). Anytime when you start the source connected to the dx9, the dac will start also with that source automatically selected. I hope this helps. I'm very happy with my unit, I'm right now playing trough a small tube pre/headamp to add some old school distortion for my vintage ears
