Topping dx9 settings when connected to active studio monitors

Hey there! I have a question you guys might be able to answer for me.

I’m trying to set up my active studio monitors with the topping dx9 but a little confused as to what settings the topping needs to be set on. Im using balanced XLR cables.

The options on the topping are:

Out mode: All, Pre, HPA, Line out
HPA Output: XLR, ALL, OFF
Line Out: Off, XLR, ALL
PRE Output: XLR, ALL, OFF

HPA Output: irrelevant (off if not used)
Line Out: irrelevant (off)
Pre Output: XLR or ALL.
