The news comes from TOPPING's official group in China, and I am not an official member of TOPPING.
I knew you were most likely not a Topping employee, I was just making a general statement.
As an aside I do wish I had access to the topping China group, or that they had an international one as well!

Honestly, there should not be any real difference in anything in this price range in terms of the sound itself, although you may be surprised to get listening fatigue with specific products here or there, which is something that has not yet been identified.

That makes the device obsolete for non-desktop setups. That's a pity. Would have been nice to have 10 band PEQ for all digital sources. That would have been a little competition for WiiM.

Not at all.
There is a (granted, tiny) possibility that I am not the last one on earth to spot it. Because it makes quite a crucial difference I think the observation is valuable enough to share on its own.

I was disappointed to see that PEQ only works on USB input, which is IMHO the least useful one as you could e.g. run EAPO on the source PC instead.
