For $1500, only 100W into 4Ω is a bit disappointing; however, >20W into 32Ω headphones is just batshit (THX 789 is “only” 6W), though I’m gonna bet the output impedance is stupid high as it’s gotta be using the speaker amp.
Based on what Amir has measured in the past where they use the speaker amp for the headphones. I could be wrong, but there’s no data on it in the AP report. What?
2nd harmonic is under -120db at 32ohm 350mW
It's gonna be a good headphone amp. dc offset is 0.1mV.
Also it's basically a power amp, why would you think the output impedance is high?View attachment 29778
? I can't understand what you are saying sorry.Based on what Amir has measured in the past where they use the speaker amp for the headphones. I could be wrong, but there’s no data on it in the AP report.

There is no fundamental difference between headphone amp and speaker amp. Schiit wanted to do it so they did it. Plus the dc offset is very low so no issue.https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...-and-measurements-of-sony-uda-1-dac-amp.7586/
Again, I’m just assuming, as I see no way they can make a headphone amp that’s 24W into 33ohm. The Emotiva A-100 is able to do 12W into 33ohm when installing the included jumper to connect the speaker amp to the headphone output.
You need g.t. 20wpc into 32 ohms for which headphone now? And which brand of hearing aid do they recommend when you accidentally have the volume control set to 5 o'clock?Link

I got one and have it on my desk. I barely notice any heat from it for what it’s worth. Not concerned at all about kids near it. I love the volume precision over my quad vena and SMsL ao200zThese are now discounted to $999 as "just an amp".. very tempting. I know the power isn't that high, but I can't blast music where I live anyways, so that's not a huge concern. The 5 year warranty is nice too.. Only concern I'd have is power usage and heat.
Nice! Have you tried the headphone output? I listen to headphones more than speakers these days.. specs aren't as clean as a Topping or SMSL headphone amp, but those are a totally different beast.I got one and have it on my desk. I’ve used it a couple times and it sounds great. I can only really compare it to the Quad Vena amp I have but everything sounds clear and detailed vs being muddy is the best subjective way I could describe it. I don’t use my headphones often and just have the 58x so it’s not a hard headphone to drive.i haven’t had a topping and only had Smsl as a speaker amp, but it reminds me more of the JDs labs element I had. The only real negative is my poor recording are really noticeable now. I mainly game though through my PC so not a big deal.Nice! Have you tried the headphone output?
