hi all! sorry for the noob question but i have this beautiful piece of kit but just making sure i know how to use it lol.

1. is there a balanced/xlr headphone output? seems like there is an analog output but i dont see where i can plug my xlr headphones into

2. i want to get an xlr microphone for streaming -- can i plug that in to the analog input on the back?

also any tips on some of the EQ settings people have used? love any RME expert to help save me from my ignorance =)

There is a balanced 4.4mm pentacon INPUT on the front. You can use a XLR to 4.4 adapter, or change your headphone cable to 4.4mm jack.

It does not have a 48V phantom power for microphone use. The RME audio interfaces are more suited for that purpose (UCX etc.)

There are quite a few eq presets your can try out here:

There are a few great ASR threads for this device. I would also suggest watching the RME youtube tutorials. They are an excellent resource. Oh yeah read the manual, it's a rather enjoyable resource if you appreciate well written documents and audio in general.
