RCA splitter to replace bridge link in NAD 3020 pre-amp - is it a simple 2 male to 1 female splitter?

Hello - I'm looking to connect an active subwoofer via RCA to one of the NAD 3020 pre-amp channels.

I am guessing that it's a case of replacing one of the metal bridge connectors with some kind of RCA splitter.

There are loads of 2 male to 1 female RCA splitters available, but I'm not sure they would route the signal correctly. For instance, this type of thing:

Am I overthinking it? Would this work? If not, does anyone have any thoughts / suggestions that might help narrow down the search for something a bit more niche?

So the part which splits out to two, would need to be connected to the Pre Amp Out jack.

Therefore, you would likely need a Male to 2x Female splitter, plus a Male->Male RCA cable to connect the splitter back to the Normal In jack to restore the original connection.

A more elegant solution would be to modify a Male to 2x Female splitter by replacing one of the female jacks with a male plug, so that you can plug it directly into the Normal In jack without an additional cable.

And if you want to get real fancy with it, you could add Dirac room correction to your setup by simply inserting a miniDSP DDRC-24 between the Pre Out and Normal In jacks.
The subwoofer would split out from the DDRC-24.

I don't think so. Plug the 2 males into the NAD, and use the female for the cable to the sub.

Oh yeah! That'd work as well! Major brain fart there, my apologies.

You can also connect an active subwoofer crossover to the preamp output and feed the filtered signal for the speakers back into the NAD. Good active car crossovers are surprisingly cheap when used.

If the sub already has a high passed line level output you should use this to feed the NAD power amp input.
