I have a fender princeton solid state mono guitar amp, and the low level volume control is terrible. When Im playing quietly and want to turn up a little, a 1mm adjustment increases the volume x3. The potentiometer clearly doesnt have the range that I need for low level control. Can i replace the existing pot with a more expansive range? Do I need to use an attenuator or master volume pot? Obviously the kind of sound quality that you guys talk about doesnt apply here. As long as it doesnt hiss or crackle a kittle noise is acceptable. Appreciate any advice you can give.
