hey all,

been lurking for a long time but finally have a question of my own- i recently got a good deal on a pair of stax sr5s with the sr6/sb energizer, but i'm not entirely sure how to power them with my existing setup. at the moment i am using an aune x1s dac and g1217 ember amp, have been very happy with this setup for a few years now. the ember is not capable of driving the stax nor does it have the inputs, so based on what i've seen here i'm going to be adding a loxjie a30 to the mix. that solves the issue of not being able to drive the stax, but again i have the problem of not having enough inputs. i see that it is possible to get a single rca cable per input using a line level converter but is this advisable? am i overthinking this or just going about it wrong?

thank you!

You will need a speaker amp to drive the SR6(SB) energizer.
You can connect the line-out of the Ember to the input of any speaker amp.
No need for any adapters, converters or anything, just connect an RCA cable between the line-out of the Ember and RCA input of a speaker amp. That's what that output is designed for.
You need to unplug the headphone connected to the Ember though otherwise there is no sound from the Ember RCA output.

This can be a small sized class-D amp like the Loxjie A30 or Aiyima A07 Max or Douk Audio H7 or Fosi Audio BT20A or Fosi Audio V3 or any kind of TPA3255 based amplifier.
Using the Fosi Audio TB10D you even get tone control !
