Hello everyone

This is my first post here (aside from my introduction) and I'm not quite sure I'm posting in the right place, so if that is the case, I ask for the Moderators forgiveness

The reason I'm posting is due to the fact that I own a pair of vintage Pioneer speakers, which are in need of attention... more specifically one of the tweeters has "died".

I would very much appreciate it if someone here could point me in the direction of a capable repair person? (I have looked everywhere for spare parts) I love these speakers

and would like to have them up and running.

Thanks in advance for all and any information shared.

Cheers,
Rod.

I had also a problem with a tweeter,a 20 mm alu dome from Coral Cx7 ,similar to yours ,and the solder was interrupted just near the connectors. With some solder paste (flux),a magnifier and attention I was able to solder the very thin wire coming from the coil back to the connector. So I suggest you unscrew those 4 screws, remove the metal front from the magnet and expose the coil. Then check with a magnifier for any visible interruptions in the 2 thin wires coming from the coil to the connectors. If the coil is not fried then there must be the problem. Good luck

It can be tricky; CCA wire is more difficult, less ductile. I've fixed many tweeters before; sometimes you have to unwind a turn or half turn to get something to reach the terminals. Impedance change is minimal and beats having a different tweeter with the original crossover
