A great opening song from Christine and The Queens I don't believe they showed on US TV, unless I just missed it? She has some great songs BTW. I just "discovered" her. Her F bombs/sexual nature of the song may have had this one not on US TV:

I tracked down that song from a short clip used in an Amazon ad. Lyrics are a bit out there, but this Pachelbel/Christine and the Queens mashup is pretty cool.

Some nice bass kicks in at 1:32 in this version:

I have just discovered her. She's hit or miss, but does have some great songs. Gone more pop-ish recently which I'm not digging as much as her older stuff. Very "out there" to be sure, but she's French, so... :p

The video interspersed in the clip was from a movie, "Blue is the Warmest color". About young women one of whom discovers she is attracted to women. Not my preferred topic, but actually a very good movie.

It may have been done that way for copyright issues, not sure, but the live opening ceremony part is obvious and the other aspect from the movie is ok by me, if ye get my drift as to not be too graphic. Was that song also used on the soundtrack of the movie?

I searched YT and it looks like the clip was taken from a live broadcast from a year before the Olympics. Probably a concert on French TV dedicated to the future Olympics, but it wasn't part of the 2024 events themselves.

The title says, "Olympic games, in a year, the Games".

Possibly exclusive to French TV? I dig it! I guess "F-ing" on French television is OK. Cool.

It probably is, never paid any attention to it. I don't watch TV.

It reminds me when I saw the clip of new live from Linkin Park on Youtube. I thought that their new singer had her voice break at during the song, and for a while I thought that was a strange place to have her voice not keeping up. And a few days later I realized it was a US TV and she was saying the F word and not having a voice break. :p

This wasn't at the Olympics 2024 Opening to begin with.
She opened for the Paralympics three weeks later, tho.

I don't think so. However what this song is about fits perfectly. About longing for someone to love, finding someone to love and what that is like. That was the topic of that movie. It was very well done and whether the someones are same or different sex has no bearing on the feelings involved or the experience of that along with how it effects someone's life.

Very recently released a new album under a different name and choosing the masculine pronoun currently I believe .
