Hello all,

May I ask a few basic questions? I would like to explore a bit the headphone world. I am between Senheiser HD 600 and HD 800 S. The price difference is substantial I understand.

Can you recommend some good bundle (headphones + DAC/AMP) if I am to go for either?

Thanks!

Both have high sensitivity and will work well with relatively low power Amps.

I'd suggest the Topping DX1.

What is your music source? Do you want something for headphones only or will you have speakers too? The HD800S is worth the price difference.

I'm using a Loxjie A40 with my HD800S right now. It is $255 on Amazon. The Topping DX1 StaticV3 recommended is only $99, but is much more limited in what it can do.

I was thinking of getting HD 800 S and Topping DX7 Pro. Will this be a good option or the DX7 Pro is too much? DX3 Pro perhaps?

I am planning on using the PC as a source

It mainly depends on what you will want to do in the future. Will you always use headphones or expand to speakers at some point?

The RME ADI FS 2 is a DAC that will drive your headphones. It is costly, but you get a five-band parametric equalizer and several other digital functions to correct imperfections in the headphones' rendering.

From a non-headphone person, I'd say that you'll be floored by most any good set-up. So, not to overspend...

Maybe get a nice amp and budget headphones, see how that works out. Because, ya know you're gonna want new upgrade headphones again sooner than later.

Plus, you def get a lot of bang for the buck with the amps.
