Is there any way to map the FN button? Right now it just turns the screen on/off. Manual says mapable in settings but I'm not seeing any options. Ideally I want it to just switch the output from speakers/headphones.

Any way to finagle that into the drivers or load custom FW?

Apparently I am too stupid to do a simple firmware update. My AO300 is on version 1.0 and I tried both the 1.1 from the SMSL homepage and the 1.4 here from the forum. I can not get past the "Checking target MCU" message.
When I put the AO300 in USB mode the updater will not recognize any port, if I use Bluetooth or have the AO 300 powered off it finds the open USB port, but it still wont update.
Is there a trick I am missing?

Instruction how to update FW

1) Driver for USB-Serial CH340 attached
2) Turn on you AO300
3) Change input to BT. If you dont have correct driver you'll see unknown USB-Serial in devices. Install UCH340 driver
4) If all ok youll see View attachment 330003
5) Firmware in attachment AO300VOA1 from official site. Unpack it
6) Run firmware updater SMSL_AO300_UPDATE_OVOA1_EN.exe
7) Click stop button
8)Choose COM portView attachment 330008
9) And push UPGRADE or Re-UpgradeView attachment 330010
10) Turn off AO300 with button on back
11) Turn on AO300 with button on back and youll see that upgrade is successful

Ah thanks, mate. I never thought of turning it off at the back
