Micca RB42 alternatives (I'm still in the return period)

Alright, I ordered the Silk 4 and will give them a try. They arrive Saturday 6/15 and I will report back here vs the RB42s.

I think I am just going a little too far down the rabbit hole for a starter 2.0 setup.

Thanks for all the responses.

yes. But I don't think the OP knows how to read such graphs. So for the OP...

There is a jump at around 1500 hz, which has a lot of musical information, and that jump does not flatten out at the angle increases. So this speaker will be bright (elevated upper mids and treble), for all angles.

I ordered the Silk 4 and will give them a try.
I hope they work well in your room and for what you like things to sound like!

Make sure the screws on the front are snug, and stay snug after a day or two of playing. Mine needed tightening.

How did the Silk 4 work out? I'm moving up from Klipsch Pro Media and the Silk 4, Polk ES10, and Micca RB42 or Micca MB42X G2 are on my short list.

How big is the room?

That describes most under $200 speakers that I have looked at.

Neumi Silk 4 has an elevated midrange, that might work for you. $150.

I use them in my office, but I do use a sub.
Which sub do you pair the Neumi Silk 4 with? I'm also looking this around this route for my office/desk.

Well, back in the day when I had $800 for an AVR, center, surrounds and sub.... I had a whopping $100 for the sub. So 6" Acoustic Audio front firing down ported. Good enough for this use.

I would not recommend.

I do cross the sub over at like 110hz or so, which seemed best given my in room response (small office at work). So you likely want to keep that in mind and avoid super large subs.
