I have looked for some measusrements of Marantz PM7000N. I found two -

1/ german review - stereo.de https://www.stereo.de/hifi-test/produkt/marantz-pm7000n-2010

2/ polish review - https://audio.com.pl/testy/stereo/wzmacniacze-stereo/3253-marantz-pm7000n

I'm confused - results are very different. What is wrong and what is true ? Measured spectrum in german test is unbelievably clean, in polish very dirty compared to nice PM7005 or PM8005 measurements ...

I was thinking of buying a PM7000N, but if the measurements from the Polish test correspond to reality, it is a very bad result.

And how should I interpret the jitter measured in the German test? Where does it come from?

The polish seems to be testing at 0db, so at clipping, it is not a good idea, this can generate more distortion and it is not representative.
Generally tests are done at -3 or -6db, looks the peak for the test frequency of the other tests.

So, it's wrong test and nothing to worry about ?

But for example measurement of PM7005 on the same site seems to be at the same input level and it doesn't exhibit similar problem - https://audio.com.pl/testy/stereo/wzmacniacze-stereo/2472-pm7005

All tests seems to have the same signal level on graphs, I think it can be only question of normalisation and it probably says nothing about testing input level / power (I doubt they measure it by full power and clipping, it would be nonsense).

Give one a listen. I have only heard the 5000 series. Found it not bad at all, just a bit lifeless. Kind of like Rotel. A "no power supply" kind of sound.
