I know better then argue about sound (or claim virtues). It sounds better to me, that is all that matter.I'm cool, since I didn't pay for them. You may get static if you claim they have sonic virtues here. I have my popcorn.

There exist Magico measurements that are very good... big difference with WilsonWilson Audio and Magico provide 0 measurements. They demo their speakers with cable lifters then claim they are into engineering / measurements...
Where on their site are the measurements? As for very good - what's their preference rating score? I have not seen any Magico in top 20.There exist Magico measurements that are very good... big difference with Wilson
Have you read this thread?Where on their site are the measurements? As for very good - what's their preference index? I have not seen any Magico in top 20.
What I said is they (Wilson/Magico) do not offer any measurements despite claims of engineering. And here is one by Magico, taken from this forum:

You are obviously not their target audience; most can care less about measurements. To each his own. However, they claim good engineering, and all facts available look like they do indeed offer that (unlike Wilson).Last, but not lastly. For the ridiculous amount they charge, they should all measure excellent. All of them. No exception.

And if they do all that, would you buy them? I don't think soMagico A5 has a 6.0 rating. That is good.
My gripe is lack of transparency (while charging a high price).
Once you (as a company) make engineering claims please do provide the proof of your engineering. Be proud of it. And cut the cable lifters when demoing - it goes against the engineering claims.
You already figured it out from my post: I would NOT.And if they do all that, would you buy them? I don't think so
So I take it you own the ~$400 Infinity IL60? Good for you!You already figured it out from my post: I would NOT.
The kind of money they charge for a 6.0 rating...
There are quite a few 6.0 or better speakers for less than 1/2 the price of A5 - https://international.kef.com/products/r3 has a 6.5 scoreSo I take it you own the ~$400 Infinity IL60? Good for you!
Absolutely agreed! However, given the very high price of Magico and their engineering claims I'd expect better in terms of preference index score. And transparency in measurements... now I do sound like a broken record. Will stop here; people here are smart and I am sure my point got acrossI'd caution against taking the preference score too seriously. Not only is it simply an average of what most people prefer, but a lot of other things like room acoustics matter a lot.
But the Infinity IL60 is better still; in fact much better according to your list. At a fraction of the price, why would one settle for an expensive Genelec? There are quite a few 6.0 or better speakers for less than 1/2 the price of A5 - https://international.kef.com/products/r3 has a 6.5 score
Genelec 8361A is 6.8 (less than half price of A5) - a way better speaker than A5
Dunno. I just stare at the frequency response on and off axis to get my impression. I know what I like. The preference curve is great if you're a manufacturer trying to sell products that the most people are going to like. And that's a smart goal.Absolutely agreed!
