Hello,

I am looking for some advice and direction on how to proceed with getting a headphone tv set up going in the living room where momuntarily there is nothing. The way I see it I have several options;

-I have a spare Beyerdynamic T1.2 laying around. I would like to use that in the living room where I have a LG CX tv and not much else. Obviously the TV cannot drive that so I would need some kind of DAC/AMP solution. Come to think of that, that could be a receiver as well with headphone output. An advantage of that would be maybe upgrading with some speakers in the future and I sometimes see some deals going around for the HE6SE which to me seem like a fun addition for downstairs. I am not looking to spend too much on it. Maybe 400 euro or so? That can be second hand prices.
- Option 2 is I saw some second hand Beyerdynamic T1.3 going around for 350 euro. From what I have read they are very decisive. I did listen to them for a short while years ago and all I remember is bass, lots of bass. Which to be honest can be fun as they would get used solely for TV watching and playing single player games. In this scenario the tv would be able to drive them as they are supposedly very easy to drive.

I am leaning towards option 1 and I am hoping you have some suggestions for me that would fit. It also seems more future proof. Option 2 if you have some experience with the headphones I'd love to hear them. Perhaps they are the perfect dark souls cans?

Welcome!

I am not very well informed on what you are looking for, but am hoping you get some good input before your thread passes into history.

Does your TV happen to have the ability to connect via Bluetooth? That might be another option if so as you get things sorted out.
