Listening position right up along the long wall , suggestions please

In a rectangular space 26x12 , 8ft ceiling. Speakers are on the long wall (drywall) and listening position is up against a brick wall . Room is open to larger area on left and kitchen on right opening to same large space. This is how it is.

What is the least I could do? , btw cannot move listening position forward by more than a feet.

What absorption panel do you recommend?. Has to be class A rated and non toxic material only.

Thinking 2inch to 3.5inch.

Looking for suggestions, will be posting REW plots in few days.

Brick and cement reflect bass. What is class A rated non-toxic? I used 2 office divider panels of 4" x 3 feet x 6 feet behind my head in a rectangular room with the speakers placed along the long wall and pointed towards me sitting in a sofa against the other long wall. It improved the imaging and the high frequency reflections where controlled. I bought them at an auction otherwise they cost a lot of money.
 
Using a sub? I’ve had some success putting the sub to the side of me with it radiating across the room (as opposed to radiating front to back). Low crossover though

Will be using a sub or two .

It's not as bad as you would expect (ignoring openings which may shift the sound stage)

Using REW Room Sim, looks like best position is LP as far back possible and speakers as far front and wide as possible with your given dimensions.

Too busy to watch a ~20 minute video on imaging setup. Please condense into 2 sentences.

Ideally tracks need to be sides of two different equilateral triangles starting from LP and one has to also consider avoiding equal distances from the woofers to wall surfaces but I think this is still one of the very good videos on this subject. It will certainly improve the sound a lot compared to a random set up.

I see that 116 to 136hz is at around 86db , after trimming i see 100db the peaks, so almost 14db difference. What can I do to address this?, getting second sub does not seem to help.

A high backed fabric chair would help.
