Mitcho who wrote that article also posts here. And the CTA 2034-a standard is basically the method Toole et al developed. So the testing he is discussing is pretty much what Amir and others are using as a yardstick in speaker reviews here.

You can get accurate recording reproduction. It is a fair fascimile of music, but not ultimately accurate due to how recordings are done. Still it can be closer than ever before in history.

Yeah, I like mitchco's reviews and articles; that's why I started this thread in the first place.
Accurate sound reproduction we all want, no matter what it takes...time and space.

* Darko, we need better mic recording techniques. It's an always developing process.
When we get it the closest it's most often by accident...magic.

This is a fun exploring audio hobby we have; professionnel music mixing/recording engineers have their vision, their guidelines, their unique touches, and so all audiophiles with different rooms and audio gear.

The closest to accuracy is live. And live is not always the best unless the music is good and we're sitting in the sweet spots.

In the sound music system we're in the measurement zone.
Mitchco is using the tools, some of the audio gear and some loudspeakers, some. We do what we know best, and play with it...fine tune.
