How many hours of music should you listen to per day?

How many hours of music should you listen to per day?

I'm sure that's as individual as our schedules and lives, but I turn music on first thing when I get up, and is pretty much always on when I am around the house.

It's probably not really a 'should' thing, and I'm sure it can vary widely even from day to day.

How much do you listen to music?

When working from home, I have music on for most of the day, pausing for meetings and calls. While driving to job sites, I switch between audiobooks, podcasts, and music, though meetings and calls interrupt that as well.

I'm not sure there's an upper limit assuming you keep the volume down.

I totally agree with BDWoody. It is not like how much physical activity you should have per day or how many calories is the healthy daily intake.
It all depends on your time allotment. When I am driving, music is always on but at home, it may vary from zero to a few hours.

Should?

Radio goes on when I wake up, muted for work calls, off if I'm out for a walk or eating with the family.
TV takes over in the evening, rarely my choice but that's family life.
Occasionally an hour or so actually listening to something specific - the good stuff.
Weekends have more time for listening, but more family activities so the time rarely comes up in practice. Radio is on anyway.
I remember live music ... I'll get back to that eventually!

When I'm really listening to the music, 45-90 minutes is a lot. I don't do this every week or month, but when I do, I really enjoy it.
