The show is on this weekend. It used to be called Hi-End show, and was at a different location, and used to be very good!
Last year, if I am not mistaken, it was moved to Ascot race horse venue, and was not so good. Rooms had plate glass covering the entire side, so acoustically were not so good.
I am going tomorrow, perhaps, if you are in London, can come too.
This year, it seems much larger, with many exhibitors. Paul McGowan is going to be there too, perhaps some of you can come and tell him what you think of him :).
I see if I can take some pictures and report what I see.
Not promising much, I am travelling to California the day after, but I shall try.

The show was cancelled last year because an old lady died.
What are they calling the show this year if not ‘HI-END’?

I went yesterday, there were quite a lot of people attending, but not so many that it felt crowded. Access to various rooms was good as a result. Plenty of decent stuff on display.

Having visited every room and listened in all of them, the standouts for me were:

- KEF Blade 2s being run off a single Hegel H600 integrated amp. Amazing clarity, volume, lack of distortion, imaging and soundstage. For an at-home listening experience this was end game for me. No need for a stack of separates.

- Perlisten S7t special editions. These blew me away. The volume, bass response and accuracy was simply perfect. Running off a stack of Primate separates. If I was throwing a party for audiophiles who wanted to stomp all night this would be what I'd use. Definitely would be considered against the Blades (if I could afford either!!!)

- Yamaha N2000-a speakers driven by their RN-2000a integrated streaming amp (lovely retro 70s/80s design). This was an amazing quality experience on a more affordable budget. Great soundstage and imaging.

- Kii Sevens. For a pair of active bookshelf speakers these were unreal in their volume, lack of distortion and bass handling. They more than filled the ~4mx8m room.

Anybody else attend? What were your favourites?

I know it is a little late, but in my defence, I flew to the USA the next day, and stayed for a month.
