Hidizs s8 as preamp?

So, I have a Hidizs s8 dongle DAC/Amp and was wondering if it could be used between an android phone and a speaker amp?

The amp is a Schiit Rekkr with the SYS passive preamp.

I'm thinking: phone->s8->(1/8 to RCA cable)->SYS->Rekkr ?

This would be very temporary. I know it's far from ideal but I'm eager to know because the Schiit arrives this afternoon!
