Heya folks.
I have set up a system to stream Tidal. It consists of an Amazon tablet HD10+ via USB to a Gustard X16 DAC which in turn goes into a Willsenton R8 amp.
Getting up every time I want to change a track is a pain so I would like to control Tidal from my smartphone but without losing any audio fidelity. I would also like to be able to connect via ethernet cable to avoid interruptions to the music due to downloading pauses.
I used to have my PC in place of the tablet but since moving house I have my PC in another room. Also we are now on solar so have to watch power consumption and the pc is a desktop and power hungry.
I initially got the Amazon Fire tablet thinking I could use Alexa voice control linked to Tidal.
Only to find that it only works in the US.
I have tried using UAPP with Bubble UPnP between tablet and smartphone but Bubble does not allow MQA.
Do I need to shell out on something like the ifi zen stream?
Is there a cheaper alternative to €400 on a zen stream?
Thanks
