I am constitutionally incapable of understanding which specs are relevant for choosing a DAC/Amp that will be sure to do justice to my headphones. They are:

HD800
600 ohm DT880
Hifiman Edition X

I listen mostly to Amazon Music via Android in the evenings-- will JDS Labs Element II DAC/Amp or Element+ stack get me the best sound out of these?

If not, any one box or stack suggestions?

Hoping to by an Element, then never buy another DAC until I can afford a Benchmark!

Yes. The Element setups should be audibly transparent with enough clean power to drive all of those to painful levels.

Thanks! Would you expect a difference in quality between the Atom stack and the Element combo?

The stack is a lot better on SINAD, but element is still audibly transparent and has a miniscule bit more power. If die hard on specs, get the stack. Itherwise, get the one you think has better functionality and appearance.

A different tack would trade off a bit of DAC sinad for gaining PEQ that could 'optimize' each of your HP individually. . That would be a $110 Qudelix 5k OTG USB connected to your Android source, followed by Atom or other $100 amp..
