Thanks a lot...In effect I realized was a very stupid idea.
No idea about some analogic in.

Bottom line is - even if your AVR has a pure direct (or similar) input setting (which then loses all DSP functionality), you are not going to get audibly better sound using an external DAC. For one thing, the first thing you do with the signal is send it to the AVR amplifiers, which will have significantly worse distortion and noise than both the external AND internal DACs.

If you are still within the return window, and you don't have another use for it, I'd strongly recommend returning it.
