I've owned a Hegel H120 integrated amplifier for some time now, and I've noticed that when a DAC is connected to it on the XLR input, then when I change the source to another analog or digital input of the amplifier (there are several on the Hegel), I hear a quiet humming of music from the XLR input - but only in the left speaker. I asked a question about this to Hegel and got the answer that you should turn off the source if you are not listening to it, because such crosstalk is perfectly normal. According to them, the goal is the highest quality music
they used the shortest paths.
I wonder if you have the same? Is it BS and just bad design?
