Guilty pleasures…anyone? Maybe I’m the only one who digs a fun colouration from time to time, but I have found myself digging the Shure SE215 this summer with various forms of electronic music and started looking around for something similar in a fullsized can. Truth be told, this is not anything close to either the Harman Target or IEF neutral where the latter is my prefered tuning…but sometimes I really dig this type of presentation.
The Zeus Elite is what I wanted the Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen and DCA Aeon Flow Open X to be ie huge bass and low mids but still retaining some semblance of a well-tune headphone in the uppermids.
I figure a lot of folks here on ASR will spend a few minutes with this headphone on their cabezas for then to run screaming for the hills. I fully sympathise. This is merely a recommendation on my behalf to those of you who like a fun sounding, extremely comfortable and easy to drive headphone in their collection.
It is not the most well-built headphone with a plastic feel to it, but it literally disappears on my noggin shortly after arriving there. The packaging though is flagship worthy with a nice suitcase implementing a seethrough plastic lid so as you can see the rather stunning cups without having to open the thing.
I am running a blue 3.5 mm cable that my buddy put together as I don’t own anything that I can plug either a 4.4 mm or XLR cable into. And no I don’t believe in cable magic…but I do love me some colours and a nice feel to a headphone tail
Anyone else here who owns this headphone?
