I just ordered this model. Wondering if any members and experts have good experience with Nord products in general and this Nord One MP NC 252 amp model. Cost me GBP554 with extras paid for SE case and 12V Trigger.

Any feedback is much appreciated.

I didn't get the NC500 cos I think this is overkill for a bedroom system. Thinking of pairing with Topping D70 Pro DAC into Proac DB1 speakers.

I've got three nord amps. 3 x 500, 4 x 250 & 6 x 250. Purchased perhaps a year ago, all been on 24/7 ( usually in standby ) not a fault from them. Run cool with lots of power. Good purchase.
Yes similar experience with me. Thanks for the feedback!

I've not seen any bad comments about Nord now that you ask.....but then again the major guts aren't theirs anyways. I think you're good.....

I'm pleased with my Nord Three. I turn my amplifier off when I'm not using it, but sometimes it's on all day. So far it's been reliable, warms up slightly, but not very much and sounds great.

Just ordered a Nord One MP NC252 with SE case, to upgrade from my Emotiva BasX A-100. And Ascilab C6B to test against my Sierra-1 V2. Doesn't look like there's any measurements for this exact model amp, so I could definitely maybe send it to Amir, if he's not working on testing one already. I assume it will be about the same performance as the Buckeye and AUDIOPHONICS..? One difference is, Nord claims 121dB S/N ratio, and these 2 amps measured a little lower.

Was originally going to buy a Topping LA90 Discrete, until I started finding reviews on Amazon, APOS, etc saying that this amp dies after a few months. I'll pass on that.

absolutely inaudible ... with good implementations, you have to choose on price / reliability / warranty / etc. Not by technical aspects.

Been using this the Nord MP NC 252 for 1.5 years now. Solid and stable as a rock. Just plug in and you can forget and don't worry about it. I think it will meet the use cases of most people into sound quality. Looks great to boot!

I purchased a Nord 8 channel in July 2019. 3 NC252 units and a NC122 unit to drive Linkwitz speakers. It has performed flawlessly.

The Value-Line version(released March 2023?), or One version(released 2019?)? Nord is not doing a very good job with their naming conventions :) Should have called it VL 252 and One 252.

What amp did you upgrade from? I know my Emotiva BasX A-100 has some channel imbalance, among other issues, so hopefully I will notice at least that difference.

I got the Nord One MP NC252. Upgraded from a Topping PA7 Plus which was a good product. But I wanted more power to drive my speakers same as you the Sierra 1 V2s. Using a Wiim Pro digital source. Not sure how much else I can improve this set-up that my ears can detect a difference to.

Oh, nice. We shop alike! ;p I don't know about you, but I think it's going to be very difficult to find a speaker that's an upgrade from the Sierra-1 V2! No winners yet on my end, though I'm perfectly happy with them(I swear...).

Hm, let's see... From Topping PA7 Plus to Nord One MP NC252, looks like you're losing some SINAD, improving frequency response in bass and treble, but it seems unclear if there is any gain or loss of power between these amps.

My next move will be a DAC upgrade(SMSL Sanskrit 10th Mk II to Holo Cyan2), then my setup will be:
PC(USB, FLAC files) -> Holo Red(XLR) -> Holo Cyan2(XLR) -> Nord One 252(Blue Jeans 10AWG banana) -> Sierra-1 V2

Here's my unbox of the 252 SE:

I'm baffled why Nord shows the rear panel with reversed layout as the actual amp...
Edit: So the SE case is the bottom pic. Non-SE is upper config. Surely there must be an internal wiring advantage to one or the other, affecting performance/measurements to some minute degree.
