If you recorded your voice, or the plucking of guitar strings, or the playing of any instrument, which of these two earphones would play back the recorded sound most accurately? Would the slight bass emphasis of the XR not render the sound of voice or instruments more closely to the way you would hear it in a space with four walls and a roof?

er4s or in between.
Er4s /sr already have small room compensation. Otherwise you would get er4b. But er4s does still has a tiny bit less bass than ideal. 2db bass boost would be ideal. er2se is roughly there but the treble is then less than ideal, great with stock foam tips tho.
