Hello everyone.

Even though we have a Review Index, I have been remiss in keeping it updated. It may also be difficult for some to figure out how to use it.
Fortunately there is another easy way to find reviews you are looking for, using the Search button on top right of the forum page. Go there and type the review you want and then check the box that says Thread Titles. Like this:

If you are only looking for reviews from me, put "amirm" in the By: field. As you see above, I just put a broad term there. That way, I avoid mistyping the specifics and not finding what I am looking for. Using the above, I get a page of reviews from which I can quickly identify the one I want to read.

This type of search nicely lands you at the first post which is the review rather than generic search which may throw you in the middle of the thread.

I use this myself multiple times a day as I go searching for a past review. If I forget a model number but know the type, I can search for such things as "Topping Amplifier Review."

113 unread messages!

No I don't want your pastimes, Amir.

This is basically how I've always found reviews, although I typically just type the brand name for the search, check the search titles only box, and put Amirm in the by field. Good to know my method is officially sanctioned.

I find most search options within a forum to be less than useful or at least frustrating. I use the method of subject followed by "site:audiosciencereview.com" to search just this site with best results....

Google searches work but can send in in the middle of review threads, or threads by others. It is more powerful though so I use that as well from time to time.

So do I.

just a humble reminder to Amir and all members to try to stick to proper manufacturers' product designations (gaps, dashes..)

like when I try to find "Sennheiser HD650 Review" article by Amir:

correct manufacturer designation is "Sennheiser HD 650", HD 850 S, etc..
- so in this case searching for:
"Sennheiser HD 650" - doesn't find the review, cause server is gap sensitive
"Sennheiser 650" - also doesn't find the review, cause server only searches for whole expressions
"Sennheiser HD-650" doesn't find the review cause my bad ;)

Funny enough, this is always how I do it. Since the beginning of my journey here, I've always used to search threads by your (or someone else) name.

Somewhat related, one can search the https://www.audiosciencereview.com/ using google by typing this in search bar:

site:audiosciencereview.com <search terms>

Google will use it's own ranking algorithm obviously. One can also then use google's advanced search features.
I literally just add asr to my search on Google and that gets me what I want most of the time.

Just a reminder that we need search best practice because of the sheer amount of reviews available for free on this website. Thanks a lot to everyone making it possible.

Speaking of finding easily reviews, a thing always frustrating me is the review index, I always wanna clic on specific line, like a prefiltered searching result, here in green:
My two cents :)

You can get only page one results with:
-"PAGE-"
I'm struggling to force it to only return reviews though. And if you do specific searches like this too often (4 or 5 times in my case) you get asked to prove you're human!

True but at least gets you to threads with such content, using the forum's search often yields results that don't even make sense....then again I don't usually use google either.
