Disco is not a separate thing from R&B/Soul/Funk. .


...The black/white thing [and the G & T thing] and influence of big record companies and radio is bit too complex for me here now though.

That's why so many people think of Disco as Saturday Night Fever [etc.]

Whether they want to admit it or not, most major rock artists of the 70's and early 80's were influenced in some ways by disco. And many released tracks that were played at the dance clubs.

That's how it is with music, everything is an influence - [especially when it gets radio play], even though there's a tendency to compartmentalize it, the cross-influence and so on prevails.

Playd this record in the late 70ties greyyyy. On the dancefloor if this came up over the Altec Lansing horns an bass speakers played under original heavy SPL conditions floor became crowdedd.
