DAC power supply EU/US

Hello,

Maybee a newbie question here but ive moved to Europe from Canada last years and I got a 240/110 volts adapter for the plugs. Now, one of my amp from Canada got a ~5v Power supply with US plug. I then plug this one in my adapter and in the wall. So it's passing from 110 V to 240V. Can this affect the sound or noise? I would like to buy a power supply for my amp with a EU plug but I don't know the size of the end of the cable that plug in the amp. I wonder if a 5V wall brick works but what kind of USB to..... I don't know the end of the plug lol

What is the amp? 5V seems very low for an amp, even one for headphones.

The PSU will work from 100V up to 240V. So you don't need any voltage converter. Just a simple US to EU plug adapter without any electronics in it will be fine. Like this

If you want to get a PSU with EU plug on it, then I'd suggest contacting SMSL or APOS.

If you do need to get a new PSU, then it looks like a fairly standard 5.5mm barrel connection...

(I'm not suggesting that you get a linear PSU, it would be a waste of money)
